India vs Australia : 3rd Test : Kotla, Delhi

With a thumping 320 runs win in Mohali, India has gone 1-0 up in the 4 test series against Australia. Though on current form, India look like they should wrap the series up comfortably, it would be silly to rule out world champions Australia. It would be interesting to see how Ponting manages to motivate his men for the remaining 2 tests.

The 3rd Test starts on the 29th October at Delhi's Feroze Shah Kotla grounds. Making things more difficult for Australia would be India's record in Kotla. Who can forget that this is the ground where Indian captain Kumble bagged all 10 wickets in an innings against Pakistan!

India has its own problems, though of the happy kind - two different players replaced Anil Kumble in the previous test at Mohali. While Dhoni took over the captaincy, debutatant Amit Mishra replaced him in the spin department. And both succeeded, and how! Should be interesting to see who is finally excluded from the XI.

Live Webcast : Challenger Trophy 2008

The 2008 edition of the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy goes live tomorrow in Cuttack. It's a little strangely scheduled, bang in the middle of the India vs Australia test series. As usual, the 3 teams are the India Blue, India Green and India Red. The three teams are being lead by Yuvraj Singh, Mohammad Kaif and Badrinath, each one being a contender for the test spot that is going to be vacated by Saurav Ganguly, who retires at the end of the 4th test against Australia.

The NKP Salve Challenger Trophy 2008 follows the same format and is a small tournament with just 4 round-robin matches between the 2 teams. All the four matches are day night matches and will start at 2:30 pm India Time. The final is slated for Sunday, 26th October 2008.
